The Passing of A Legend...

We, at Lee Community College, are saddened with the passing of Dr. Albert Ellis of New York City on 24 July 2007, of natural causes.

Dr. Ellis was for many years the Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Rational Psychotherapy and was extensively involved in the training of many counselors and therapists over decades. Dr. Ellis was a superb public speaker, lecturer, writer and consummate professional. He had authored hundreds of articles, many books, many commentaries, tapes, and video materials.

Our President, Dr Toke, had the honor of attending Dr Albert Ellis' 92nd birthday in New York, USA. Dr Ellis is renowned in the psychology field as the founder of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT).
