OBJECTIVE back to top
Populations are aging worldwide. This means that people are living longer, and the number of older persons is increasing. These trends are evident in Singapore society, as well as in many countries around the world.

In 2005, 1 out of 12 people in Singapore was over 65.
In 2030, 1 out of 5 people will be over 65.

The growth of the elderly population will continue into the future.
