Our Story 

Founded in 1999 as Counselors' Academy, Lee Community College began with a simple vision—to provide practical, high-quality education in psychology, counselling, and the helping professions. Starting with just 15 students in our first Certificate in Counselling Psychology programme, we have since grown into a respected boutique college that has trained over 5,000 students in Singapore.

As enrolment grew, the College expanded from its early classes at Carlton Hotel and YWCA Fort Canning Lodge to its permanent campus at Palmer House in 2001. Over the years, we introduced Diploma programmes in Counselling Psychology, Applied Gerontology, and Family Life Education, building a strong reputation for practical, experiential learning taught by experienced practitioners.

Our commitment to educational excellence has been recognised through numerous industry awards, including being named Best in Counselling Psychology by Edupoll for five consecutive years. 

Today, Lee Community College specialises in short, intensive, skills-based professional courses that equip participants with practical knowledge and immediately applicable skills. Our programmes are designed for professionals, educators, leaders, caregivers, ministry workers, and individuals seeking personal growth, enabling them to better understand people, strengthen relationships, and make a meaningful difference in their communities. 

Professional Note:

Our courses are designed for professional development and personal enrichment. While they provide valuable knowledge and practical skills, they do not, by themselves, qualify participants as licensed counsellors or psychotherapists. Individuals seeking professional registration are encouraged to pursue recognised higher qualifications that meet the requirements of the relevant professional and regulatory bodies.
